In Cosquín, Argentina, the mother of a 13-year-old girl met a 38-year-old man who was harassing her daughter on WhatsApp. The accused stalker went to the meeting thinking that he was going to see the minor, but he ended up arrested and beaten.
The man allegedly insisted that the girl meet him and, given her refusal, threatened to kill her family, Argentine media reported. Due to the intimidation, the minor had kept silent.
The mother, following checking the cell phone and finding out regarding the situation, summoned the man to a square, a meeting he attended in the company of some neighbors. When they recognized him, they confronted and beat him.
The police arrived at the scene, who found the man held by the group of neighbors and the girl’s mother stated what had happened.
The subject was arrested and is being investigated to determine if he would also have harassed other minors.
Authorities alerted parents regarding this type of harassment cases that minors can be victims of through social networks.
