In total, no less than 43 cases of Parsonage-Turner syndrome have been identified, of which 27 occurred during the new study period.

Parsonage-Turner syndrome is also known as amyotrophic neuralgia. The main symptom is a inflammation of the brachial plexus, i.e. a group of nerves, which lies between the shoulder and the collarbone.

This may possibly train muscle loss. This condition seems to mainly affect men around the age of 40.

Parsonage-Turner syndrome causes severe pain and a feeling of shock electric. The arm is painful and becomes heavy. The disease proceeds in three distinct phases. The detailed study of serious cases following vaccination by Pfizer

The National Agency for the Safety of Medicines reviewed and analyzed all cases with an expert neurologist. 18 of the cases presented did not establish a direct link with the Pfizer vaccine.

However, for the remaining 25 cases, a causal link might be established. 7 of these cases of Parsonage-Turner syndrome occurred following the first dose14 more following the second dose, and the last 4 cases occurred following the booster dose.

Of these 25 cases linked to the Pfizer vaccination, 9 patients are completely cured or in the process of being so. One patient recovered but has sequelae. Finally, 14 patients are still not cured, indicates the National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products in its March 19 progress report. 2022.

The National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (ANSMP) has counted 8 cases of a particular form of Parsonage-Turner syndrome. We speak of focal form, atypical form or early form.
