Recently, it has been reported that there are 2 metric tons of gold in the Taidong Zhiben Photoelectric Development Zone. Some people actually applied for excavation, but he explained that he was not here to dig out the gold, but to find his father’s relics. It was only halfway through the excavation, but it was blocked by the local tribe, because this is the traditional domain of the Kadidibu tribe. Work has been temporarily suspended, and a coordination meeting will be held next week.

A low fence was initially erected and a blockade was pulled up. A small mound is piled up next to it. If you look closely, there is a tiankeng next to it. The depth of the hole is regarding 1.7 meters. What is the purpose of such a big hole? It turned out that there were rumors that during the Japanese occupation period, someone had buried 2 tons of gold here.

Mr. An, an excavator, said, “In the early days, my father worked as a policeman in this place. During the Japanese occupation era, because the Japanese were grabbing the beach from this place at that time, it was too late to bury some things along the road.”

It took me 2 years to apply for excavation in order to fulfill my father’s last wish. My father worked as a police officer in Zhiben, Taitung during the Japanese occupation. During a serious illness, I was disappointed. He was carefully taken care of by the local residents, so he had been entrusted before his death that some of the relics dug up should be sold back to the village.

Mr. An, an excavator, said, “The detectives all have iron reactions, but there seems to be no way to say that this is a weapon, and there is no way to tell whether it is copper or gold.”
