Abu Dhabi വിശ്വാസ Believers enrich their prayers on the first Friday of the holy month of fasting.
Tens of thousands of people attended Friday prayers in the UAE to cool off from the scorching sun. More and more people took advantage of the Kovid concessions and went to church. Wearing masks and keeping their distance, they lined up near the mosque, veranda, courtyard, nearby roads and buildings to complete Friday prayers.
The believers, who had earlier entered the mosque and occupied the place, immersed themselves in the recitation of the Qur’an and the accompanying prayers.
Some were looking at the digital Qur’an on their mobile phones and sitting on the roadside reciting the Qur’an.
In the Qutb sermon, the Imams reminded that the sanctity of the fasting month should be preserved in every sense.
The Imams said that during Ramadan, when the Qur’an was revealed, one should find time to study the essence of the Qur’an and recite it without error.
Imams from different countries, including Malayalees, led the Qutb.
After Jumu’ah, some mosques also had sermons and translations of the Qutb. Qutb was in Malayalam with the permission of the Department of Religious Affairs in some churches in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Fujairah.
Despite Friday being a working day, a large crowd turned out for the prayers at 1.15 pm.
Due to the public holiday in Sharjah, Friday prayers were held at regular intervals.
