Abu Dhabi: UAE and Qatar withdraw a batch of Kinder Surprise chocolate from the market. The Kinder Surprise Maxi 100g chocolate batch made in Belgium was withdrawn.

The move follows suspicions of the presence of Salmonella bacteria in the candy factory. Didier Lafiner, the company’s regional managing director, said Kinder Surprise MaxiCi had recalled 100 grams of chocolate from Qatar as part of a precaution.
Salmonella has been reported in a few children in the UK. Subsequently, a 200 gram packet containing 3 chocolates was removed from the market.
