news tip Detroit Become Human: how to get the fastest ending? (spoiler)
Did you complete Detroit: Become Human over the weekend? Probably, but did you do it several times?… okay, and you found all the endings? Okay, we’ll pretend to believe you. You probably also knew that several chapters might be missed, but did you imagine that the new title of Quantic Dream might be deliberately “rushed”, even if it goes a little once morest its narrative principles?
Speedrunning enthusiasts, perhaps Quantic Dream games are not your priority; nevertheless, they have an “ideal” path if you want to finish the game as quickly as possible! After examining the various possible branches in the new PlayStation 4 exclusive, it appears that a good third of the game can be missed, intentionally or not; what interests us here nevertheless comes from a totally deliberate process. Of course, don’t read on if you haven’t played (or finished) the game yet, or want to experience the many unexplored endings for yourself!
Nine chapters of Detroit: Become Human can be missed (out of 31, or almost a third). First, all those featuring Kara following Chapter 7 “You Are My Son” will be “skipped” if you fail to escape, which means missing all five chapters featuring her therefollowing. You also won’t play Chapter 8 “The Interrogation” with Connor if you fail to apprehend the relevant suspect three chapters earlier.
Finally, the last three chapters of the game (including the two longest) can be skipped on the condition of having lost Kara (possible multiple times) and Markus (impossible until chapter 27 “March for freedom”), and that Connor fails during the final phase of his investigation in chapter 28 “Last chance , Connor” (the aptly named…).
With your three main characters failing to reach the final chapters, missing out on their freedom and any possibility of revolt, you’ll generate the game’s worst ending: (summarized in the detailed page on the quickest (and sad) endings of Detroit: Become Human.
