POCO X4 Pro 5G killer? Realme GT Neo 3 is officially confirmed for India

After much anticipation, Realme has brought its April 7th event to India with several new products. The company introduced the Realme GT 2 Pro and Realme 9 (4G) in the smartphone category. The former is the company’s flagship for 2022, while the latter is a new entry for the Realme 9 series with a 108MP camera. In addition to these phones, the company has also revealed new truly wireless earbuds Realme Buds Air 3 and the new Realme Book Prime laptop. Last but not least, the company introduced the new Realme Smart TV Stick with Android 11 TV and Full HD 60fps support. In addition to the new products, the company’s vice president, Madhav Sheth, confirmed that the vanilla Realme GT 2 will arrive in India on the company’s fourth anniversary. The Realme GT 2 can be considered an incremental upgrade over the regular Realme GT 5G, following all, it offers the same Snapdragon 888 SoC. The company mentions the name of the smartphone, but his Twitter post makes us assume that it’s Realme GT Neo 3 in Le Man edition.

There is some mystery going on when it comes to the release of Realme GT Neo 3 in India. After all, there are strong rumors that the upcoming OnePlus 10R will be the Realme GT Neo 3. The OnePlus 10R is coming to the Indian market, or at least, there is a strong chance that the OnePlus 9R and 9RT were exclusive to India and China. We don’t know exactly what OnePlus and Realme strategies are with this package of specs. Perhaps there will be slight differences that will allow both companies to bring their devices to India.

Alleged Realme GT Neo 3 specifications

Realme GT Neo 3 is a strong competitor in the market due to the attractive specifications. The device has the latest MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chip with ARM Cortex-A78 cores and a powerful Mali-G610 GPU. The phone comes with a 6.7-inch Full HD + AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Interesting fact: It is the first Realme phone with a hole in the middle. There is a triple camera setup. It comes with a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone comes in two variants, one of which has a 5,000mAh battery and is charged at 80W. Meanwhile, there’s a 150W charging variant that cuts the battery size down to 4,500mAh.

It is worth noting that the phone has already received BIS certification which is an important step for devices entering the Indian market.
