Yesterday, CBC channel showed the sixth episode of the series “Faten Amal Harbi”, starring Nelly Karim.
In this report, we present to you the highlights of the episode:
Counselor Daoud (Khaled Sarhan), the judge, issues a decision to imprison Faten (Nelly Karim) for 24 hours following she objected to the personal status law in the court, describing it as an unjust law.
– Then Judge “Shakib” Muhammad Tharwat, the lawyer of “Faten”, summoned and told him that what happened in the court was his fault, and Shakib apologized.
– The judge decides to release Faten.
Faten takes a decision to file a case to change the personal status law in the Constitutional Court.
Sheikh Yahya is confused by Faten’s question regarding the fatwa to drop the mother’s custody of her children in the event of her marriage.
– A friend of Adel’s husband, Maysoon (Hala Sedky) goes to visit her and is surprised by the disappearance of his friend, and tells her that he had given her husband a trust and wants to get her back, so she says that she knows nothing regarding this matter.
– Judge “Faten” asks whether she is still determined to file a case once morest the Personal Status Law.
– “Saif al-Dandarawi” Sharif Salama, a free Faten, goes to her cousin and asks them to mediate so that she can return to him once more.
– In the court, Faten’s case is postponed, so she asks the judge: medicine, alimony, apartment, and expenses, to respond to her: Every case has a specific topic, so she says: I want to file a case once morest the law and now I am right away
– The judge replies: There is no such thing as taking a case once morest the law, to say: But this is an unjust law that breaks down the law for women. We cannot cancel it or change it. The judge replied: Understand them, Mr. Shakib, the steps and procedures required to file a case once morest the law.
Faten comes out of the court and finds Seif sitting in a café trying to provoke her.
– Faten goes to Seif’s relatives, and they support her.
Seif withdraws his two daughters’ files from school.
