Media Radwa El-Sherbiny said that Sherine Abdel Wahab’s song “Al-Maraya” was the reason for her separation from her husband following a marriage journey that lasted 7 and a half years, noting that this song had a significant impact in reviewing her accounts with herself and making this decision.
She said in televised statements: “I went in to take a shower, and I always played songs and I came across a song by the Egyptian artist Sherine (what would you do if I looked in the mirrors), because I heard the sentence while I was standing in front of the bathroom mirror, and I thought she was singing to me or to me.”
And she added: “The longest period of shower I had in my life was two and a quarter hours. I sat like this and the tape of my life was back in front of me..
