“It’s not very surprising,” said Yoo Si-min, a former chairman of the Roh Moo-hyung Foundation, who is being tried on charges of defaming Prosecutor Han Dong-hoon’s reputation.

While attending the Seoul Western District Court where the defamation case is ongoing, former Chairman Yoo said to reporters who asked regarding the decision of a prosecutor to acquit him, “I didn’t know because I didn’t watch the news, so it’s not very surprising.”

In addition, when a prosecutor made a position to hold the spread of false information accountable right following the acquittal was disqualified, he replied, “It is not my business, and the accused will speak in court.”

On his YouTube channel ‘Alileo’ in December 2019, former chairman Yoo claimed that a prosecutor illegally tracked the account of the Roh Moo-hyung Foundation while he was serving at the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, and was handed over to trial in May of last year for defamation.

Earlier, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office yesterday dismissed a prosecutor who was accused of taking part in the process of threatening a reporter by a Channel A reporter.
