Kuwait has arrested 11 expatriates on charges of trafficking in women, the Interior Ministry has said. The group consisted of three men and eight women. They were arrested in the Jalib al – Shuyoukh area. They are from Asian and African countries, officials said. The arrested persons were handed over to the concerned authorities for further legal action.

Most of them work in the health and education sectors.

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti cabinet resigned once more. Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al Hamad Al Sabah arrived in Bayan Palace on Tuesday and handed over his resignation letter to Crown Prince Sheikh Mish’al Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Problems with parliament led to the resignation of the cabinet.

The resignation comes ahead of a vote of no-confidence once morest the Prime Minister in Parliament today. Sheikh Sabah became the Prime Minister in December 2019. He resigned three times following the no-confidence motion and later formed a new cabinet. The current government came to power in December 2021.
