the minister Secretary General of the Presidency (Segpres), Giorgio Jacksonmet at noon this Wednesday for lunch with the bench of deputies of the PC and independents in Congress.
This following the parliamentarians of that committee -which is part of the government of Gabriel Boric- opened up to analyze the fifth withdrawal of funds from the AFPs.
“If the discussion of the fifth withdrawal really means a solution for the people here, nobody is going to turn their back on the electorate that we represent”they argued from the bench this morning at a press point where they supported deputy Karol Cariola (PC) once morest the censorship warning made by her peer Pamela Jiles.
Prior to the meeting, the head of the Segpres had stated that “We hope to find there the doubts, the feedback regarding the things that the Executive is doing and thus be able to clarify dates, mechanisms that allow us to go to the aid of the families that continue to lag behind in this reactivation process. And putting above all an emphasis on the necessary pension reform to have a social security system as we have been proposing”.
Then, following the appointment, the Secretary of State assured that “a common intention to coordinate legislative agendas is manifested, to be able to have greater fluidity in communication.”
Jackson also maintained that “as Executive we are extremely open, also with some questions in a concrete way both in the fifth withdrawal project as in others, it is that some announcements are coming from the Executive, which we believe are important for the demands that we know that parliamentarians receive as pressure from citizens during their district weeks, so we will continue working on that ” .
“There is a fairly mediated conversation regarding the announcements that we will make as Executive. I was a parliamentarian for 8 years, I understand that there is a lot of citizen pressure regarding different issues and the Executive has to deliver a battery of proposals and that is the responsibility that falls to us as Executive, “added the Segpres minister.
“I know that when we deliver these proposals we will be able to have a much more informed deliberation”he complemented.
And he concluded that “we are working so that not only the measures exist, but also the confidence to be able to understand the government’s measures in a complete context.”
