Lawyer Kang, who had been investigated by the police several times for various nonsense and fake news, declared his candidacy for Gyeonggi governor and applied for reinstatement to the People’s Power Seoul Party.
It has been 12 years since I was expelled from the party for making sexually derogatory comments regarding a female announcer while serving as a member of the National Assembly.
The People’s Power Seoul Party, which is the first gateway to the Bokdang, approved the application for admission within one day as soon as it was received.
This is because there is no reason for disqualification as it has been 5 years since he was expelled.

However, Article 7 of the People’s Power Party Rules stipulates the criteria for screening party members as “those who have clean conduct, regardless of public affairs,” and “those who do not receive criticism from the public for their past actions.”
Lawyer Kang might not be reinstated because of this provision in 2016 as well.
The criteria for judging party members remain the same, but it was not possible six years ago, and it is now.
Women’s groups strongly oppose it.
Lawyer Kang’s restoration is part of the policy of erasing women, such as the abolition of the leisure ministry, which is being carried out by the People’s Power.

The final approval authority for Bokdang rests with the People’s Power Supreme Council.
Controversy is expected because Lee Jun-seok, the president of which Kang had raised suspicions of sexual favors, presides over the meeting, and the party leadership cannot help but think regarding the negative impact it will have on local elections.
In response to this, lawyer Kang said in a phone call with MBC, “There is also a statute of limitations for prosecution, but disciplinary measures are usually limited to three years.”
