The health authorities in China announced a record increase in the number of Corona virus infections, which reached 20,614 new infections during the past 24 hours.
According to the State Hygiene and Health Commission of China, 19,199 people have been identified as asymptomatic carriers of the virus, and only 1,415 people have symptoms of the disease.
She said that nearly 99% of those currently undergoing treatment in China were infected inside the country, and only 1% of the recorded infections were cases coming from outside the country.
Thus, the number of cases recorded daily increased by 2.33 times compared to Wednesday of last week, when 8,825 infected people were discovered.
The number of infected people currently undergoing treatment in China exceeds 138,500 people, an increase of 78.5% over the last March 30.
According to official figures since the beginning of the pandemic, 158.7 thousand people have been infected in China, not counting asymptomatic carriers (the authorities do not record people without symptoms in the final statistics), and 4,638 people have died in the country since the beginning of the pandemic outbreak due to the Corona virus.
