An explosion occurred on the territory of the Krasnogvardeisky district of the Belgorod region. Anna Kutashova, head of the district administration, wrote regarding this on her page on the social network VKontakte.
According to the official, there was no damage as a result of the explosion, and no one from the residents of the area was injured. Kutashova specifically noted that this was not the result of shelling.
“A pop was heard. Everything is calm in the district,” the official wrote. “We understand for sure that this is not shelling.”
As the head of the district noted, this clap occurred around 19:50. More detailed information regarding the nature of the explosion has not yet been provided by the district and regional administrations.
Meanwhile, according to the Telegram channel Baza, in the Shebekinsky district of the Belgorod region, local residents noticed earthworks to dig trenches. The head of the Shebekinsky district, Vladimir Zhdanov, explained on his page on the social network that he is a “military man” and therefore always plays it safe. However, the official hastened to reassure the population that the danger to the inhabitants of the Belgorod region is not in danger.
“Additional security measures will not be superfluous,” Zhdanov said in a video message. “There is no need to worry, nothing threatens our security.”
