Apple announced Tuesday that the company will host its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), online June 6-10, which all developers can attend for free.

Building on the success of the past two years of virtual events, WWDC22 will showcase the latest innovations from iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS, while giving developers access to Apple engineers and technologies to learn how to create breakthrough apps and interactive experiences, the announcement says.

“At its core, WWDC has always been a forum for connecting and building community,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of global developer relations and enterprise marketing. education. “With that in mind, WWDC22 invites developers around the world to come together to explore how to bring their best ideas to life and push the boundaries of what’s possible.”

In addition to announcements shared during the keynote and State of the Union presentations, this year’s program will also include more briefings, more cutting-edge learning labs, more digital fairs to engage with attendees and more localized content to make WWDC22 a truly global event, according to Apple.

For the third year, Apple will also support students who love programming with the Swift Student Challenge. For this year’s challenge, students around the world are invited to create a Swift Playgrounds app project on a topic of their choice, and they can submit their work until April 25.
