BUENOS AIRES, April 5 (Archyde.com) – The Argentine government raised the price of bioethanol for the domestic market on Tuesday, both for sugarcane and corn, which is used for a mandatory mixture with gasoline, according to a published resolution. in the Official Gazette.

According to the publication of the Secretary of Energy of the Ministry of Economy, the new value of the biofuel will be 73,110 pesos per liter (regarding 0.66 dollars), from a previous value of 65,420 pesos per liter.

The updated price “will govern operations carried out as of March 14, 2022 and will be valid until the publication of a new price that replaces it,” the communication explained.

The South American country, which faces high inflation -it was 4.7% in February-, is a major world producer of biofuels, mainly biodiesel, and regularly updates its prices for the domestic market.
