Karim Benzema expressed his desire to play alongside his French compatriot Kylian Mbappe, the Paris Saint-Germain striker, noting that there is a kind of understanding and harmony between them.

Benzema believes that Mbappe’s move to Madrid will double their goals, or perhaps the number may reach three times.

Benzema said: “I love playing alongside him in the national team and I would like us to join the same team. I think we will score twice as many goals, maybe even three.”

In the interview published by the French newspaper L’Equipe, Benzema considered that Real can win the Champions League once more, noting that facing Chelsea is difficult and that “there is no team more fortunate” to qualify at the expense of the other.

Regarding the team’s reliance on him, Benzema denied this, saying: “Real won in my absence. I try not to leave my team out of the match when I am present. We may lose 4-0, but we continue to create opportunities and create danger.”

Chelsea will meet Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals at 22:00 Al Quds Al Sharif time.
