But Tuesday morning, Public Health France indicates on the contrary that at least 15 cases of suspected salmonellosis have been identified in France, in people who have consumed Kinder products which are subject to withdrawal. “The median age of cases is 4 years old”, specify the health authorities. Of the fifteen patients who might be interviewed, eight of them were hospitalized and all returned home. The Directorate General for Health says the products are all made in the same factory in Arlon, Belgium.
A total of 21 cases of salmonellosis have been reported to the Institut Pasteur in France. But the link with the consumption of Kinder chocolates suspected of contamination has only been established for 15 of them for the moment.
