iPhone 14 appearance exposure basically did not run: Apple is preparing for a new surprise on-screen Face ID | XFastest News

According to the latest news from foreign media, Apple is secretly preparing the face recognition function under the screen, and the iPhone 16 is the first to launch. So, are you looking forward to it?

In response to a March 30 tweet from DSCC analyst Ross Young predicting that the iPhone 16 will feature under-display Face ID, Ming-Chi Kuo made the same prediction on Saturday morning: “Under-display Face ID” It will come in 2024 (iPhone 16).”

As for why the concept appeared in that particular model, Ming-Chi Kuo added that “the timing is not so much a technical issue as it is a marketing purpose”. Ming-Chi Kuo didn’t elaborate, but it’s likely related to the expected bangs replacement.

A punch-hole notch and pill-shaped hole are expected in the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models launching in the fall of 2022. The two holes will replace the larger bangs with a more minimalist look, giving users more screen and less visible display status.

Given Apple’s tendency to keep design changes in place for at least two years, if Apple does introduce pills and punch-hole bangs with the iPhone 14 Pro lineup, it’s reasonable to expect Apple to keep that concept for at least two generations.

Samsung Display is said to be working on in-display technology that might be used to hide the Face ID module of future iPhones. However, while it might surface in Samsung’s foldable lineup in 2023, it might be another year before it makes its way to the iPhone.
