Interviewed by The Athletic, Nasser Al Khelaifi explained his strategy when taking over PSG: “For us, taking over PSG was like taking over a small company that was losing money. We had to invest in it, reinject money. We bought PSG for 70 million euros, and today it is worth much more than that”.
The PSG is indeed estimated at 1.8 billion euros now. “And we have huge offers from Europe to buy the club. We have improved the value of European football by buying PSG.”
