LG announces Android 12 upgrade list-ePrice.HK

LG, which decided to terminate the mobile phone business last year, has stated that for flagship smartphones launched in 2019 or later, they will maintain their original following-sales commitments and provide 3 versions of system updates to eligible phones. Last month, LG took the lead in rolling out the Android 12 update for the Velvet, and it was the first phone to get Android 12, and other phones will also receive the update in the second quarter.

Yesterday, LG announced the list of phones that will be updated in the second quarter. Among them, the Q52, Velvet and Wing will receive security updates, while the Q92 5G, V50 ThinQ and V50S ThinQ will receive Android 12 system upgrades. Since it is the list announced by LG Korea, all models are available locally. As for the V60, because it has not been listed in Korea, I don’t know if it will be upgraded.

While most LG phones, Android 12 will be the last OS version they get, the LG Velvet and Wing should still be able to upgrade to Android 13 if LG keeps its promises.
