Slap at the Oscars: several films with Will Smith suspended

Production on the actor’s upcoming feature films has reportedly been halted due to his behavior at the 2022 Academy Awards.

Multiple sources told The Hollywood Reporter that producers put production on “Fast and Loose” and “Bad Boys 4” on hold following the famous slap in the face.

Ahead of the ceremony, Netflix bosses had issued an urgent appeal for a director to join ‘Fast and Loose’, but now it appears the project has been put on hold. Very similar story for another film with the comedian: he would have received 40 pages of the script for “Bad Boys 4” before the award was presented, but production would suddenly have been postponed. Plus, the movie “Emancipation”. in which he plays the main role, would be put on stand-by by Apple+. It was supposed to come out this year.
