A man (24) was driving a tractor in Seewis Dorf GR shortly before 3 p.m. on Sunday. He drove along a dirt road near the locality of Strifeljus. The tractor went over the edge of the road and overturned several times in the sloping meadow slope, as reported by the Graubünden cantonal police on Monday.
The 24-year-old was thrown out of the cabin and was seriously injured. A third person became aware of the accident from an opposite slope and alerted the rescue services.
A Rega crew provided the man with emergency medical care and flew him to the cantonal hospital in Graubünden in Chur. Around ten emergency services from the Landquart road rescue team were deployed to secure the scene of the accident. The Graubünden canton police are clarifying the exact course of the accident. (jmh)
