Among the existing ways to stop smoking, Dr Dhaker Lahidheb cited the famous electronic cigarette, this device producing steam by heating a flavored liquid, possibly containing nicotine. Indeed, in recent years, the e-cigarette, which has not finished making people talk regarding it between those who consider it a good smoking cessation tool and those who see it as a new health hazard, has gained ground in the Tunisian but also international population… Like it or not, this tool can help to quit smoking, but its use must be supervised. It must be well taken and associated with the right dosage… There is also heated tobacco, which is one of the latest generation tobacco products, emitting 90% less toxic substances compared to conventional cigarettes. The Dr Lahidheb also cited the nicotine patch, since in the case of smoking cessation, the patches deliver nicotine, which helps to relieve the symptoms of physical withdrawal related to the lack of nicotine. But it is the availability of this product on the Tunisian market which today poses a real problem, given that it is out of stock. Finally, but no less important, there is sport, which must be a regular practice, capable of reaching all sections of society. Indeed, the smoker must find something that diverts him from this impulse during the minutes most at risk: he can play sports, go for a walk, start gardening, chew gum…
