One week before the voting day of the mandate revocation process, “everything is ready, so that this process of participatory democracy can take place in peace and with conditions of legality, certainty, transparency and absolute trust.”
Through a video broadcast on social networks, the president of the INE reported that the institute, “as it is public and notorious, has made an institutional and extraordinary effort to make this exercise known by the public and to consequently promote their participation. freely and informed.
This, he stressed, “despite the repeated attempts of some political actors to hinder and hinder the proper development of this exercise, by denying the INE the necessary resources, by challenging over and over once more, all the important decisions that have been taken and also repeatedly violating the rules that they themselves established in the Constitution and the law.”
Córdova indicated that more than 287,000 citizens are appointed and fully trained to receive and count the opinions of their neighbors in the 57,517 polling stations that will be installed on April 10 .
More than 1,400 requests from people who will serve as electoral observers have been approved, and the institute has accredited 52 foreign visitors from 18 countries who are interested in observing this unprecedented exercise in participatory democracy.
