An eleven-year-old boy died in an accident with a quad in Sölk (Liezen district) on Saturday. As the police announced in the followingnoon, the boy had overturned with the four-wheeled vehicle in a meadow on his parents’ farm. The vehicle fell on the boy, killing him.
The eleven-year-old had been walking uphill on a gently sloping meadow covered with snow. When he wanted to turn around at the end of the meadow, he came across a steep embankment. The vehicle overturned and the boy was thrown out of the driver’s cab. The parents and his brother found the boy and alerted the rescue. All efforts by the emergency doctor to save the child were unsuccessful, he died at the scene of the accident.
