The Kraft Cubs aren’t finally retiring

After announcing, Wednesday at the stroke of midnight, the retirement of its famous bear cubs, Kraft reveals that it was only an April Fool’s joke.

The company, which revealed its joke Friday on its social networks, however does not take the credit. “Although we would like to take credit for it, this joke was 100% Crunchy and Smoothie’s idea,” a tweet from “KRAFT Peanut Butter” read.

Remember that the American agrifood giant had indicated, in a tweet shared on March 30, that the cubs were “ready for another chapter” following 60 years of loyal service.

“Please share your best wishes to Crunchy (Crunchy) and Smoothie (Creamy). It’s their last day at Kraft Peanut Butter,” read the post, which turned out to be a joke.
