The other day it became known that one of the Ulyanovsk tuning studios created a set of improvements for an SUV, made in the style of premium foreign SUVs.
The UAZ Hunter SUV has been produced for a long time – since 2003. Its predecessor UAZ-469/UAZ-3151 lasted even longer on the assembly line, the mass production of which began in 1972. Over these almost 50 years, Hunter has not become a modern car, remaining true to the ascetic concept, unlike the same Gelendvagen. However, in the near future this situation may partially change thanks to the efforts of one of the Ulyanovsk tuning studios. In the context of the cessation of imports of luxury SUVs and crossovers, it was decided to partially close this niche by setting up the production of tuning kits for Hunter. And they will be presented in three versions at once.
The first one is made in the style of the new SUV Toyota Land Cruiser 300, whose premiere took place last summer. The Hunter will get a similar horizontally slatted grille, similarly designed headlights with L-shaped LED daytime running lights, and a new bumper.
The second tuning kit is made in the image of the latest generation Cadillac Escalade, Test Drive which we did last year. Here, attention is drawn to the wide grille with chrome trim, narrow headlights and a bumper, along the edges of which are branded vertical running lights.
Finally, the third option is inspired new Range Rover, which is the most recent model of the whole trinity and did not even have time to reach the Russian market – it was presented last October. Similarly, Hunter will receive a strict front end with headlights, a grille and a relatively simple bumper. It is worth noting that on all the presented variants, the Hunter has a standard hood, but the wings had to be changed to accommodate horizontal optics. The tuning kit will include front fenders, bumper, grille and optics, and as an option, replica wheels with a design similar to the original foreign models will be offered.
As for the cost of alterations, it will amount to 490 thousand rubles, which is approximately equal to half the price of the UAZ Hunter itself (official prices for it start at 1,077,000 rubles). Applications will be accepted from April 1st.
