The musical event of the year in the United States has planned a special tribute for Taylor Hawkins. The death of the Foo Fighters drummer sent shock waves through the recording industry, the production of Grammy Awards therefore rushed to organize a sequence in memory of the star.
“We will honor his memory in one way or another. We want to find the right thing to do and that is respectful of everyone involved, ”said to Variety Jack Sussman, the vice-president of CBS (the American channel which broadcasts the ceremony) for special events.

Before the death of their drummer, the Foo Fighters were to perform on stage at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas. But the group announced in a press release cancellation of all his concerts, to allow the “Foo Fighters Family” to gather. Nothing has been specified on the nature of the tribute and it is not known whether Dave Grohlwho considered Taylor Hawkins his brother, and the rest of the band will be on hand.
The Foo Fighers are in contention for three trophies. The Grammy Awards ceremony will take place on April 4.
