[Washington, 1st Archyde.com]–The US military has canceled the launch test of the intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) Minuteman 3, which can carry a nuclear warhead, so as not to escalate nuclear tensions with Russia. The US Air Force revealed to Archyde.com on the 1st.

The Pentagon has announced that it will postpone the launch test on March 2, following Russia’s high alertness for military nuclear deterrence forces, including nuclear forces. Both the US and Russia said, “We need to keep in mind the risk of miscalculation and mitigate the risk,” but said they would not cancel it.

Air Force spokesman Ann Stephanek said the decision was made to cancel for the same reasons as at the time of the postponement. The next Minuteman 3 launch experiment is scheduled for the end of the year.
