Bourita meets with Deputy Foreign Minister of Somalia

Dakhla – The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad, Nasser Bourita, had talks on Thursday in Dakhla with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somalia, Mahmoud Abdi Hassan.

In a statement to the press at the end of this meeting, Mr. Abdi Hassan stressed that this meeting was an opportunity to highlight the various issues of common interest, emphasizing the close and ancestral relations between Morocco and Somalia.

During these talks held on the sidelines of a conference initiated by the International Center for Research on the Prevention of Child Soldiers, the Somali diplomat praised the strong and distinguished bilateral relations, stressing that the two parties reviewed a series measures focused on exploring new horizons of cooperation.

Mr. Abdi Hassan also wanted to express his recognition and gratitude to the Kingdom of Morocco, King, government and people, expressing the wish to see relations between the two brotherly countries develop further in the future.

It should be noted that the Deputy Foreign Minister of Somalia took part, alongside other senior African officials and diplomats, in the inauguration of the International Center for Research on the Prevention of Child Soldiers in Dakhla.
