Formula 1 returns to Las Vegas in 2023

Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen and Co. are supposed to race across a 6.12-kilometer street circuit on a Saturday evening and not on a Sunday as usual in November of the coming year. This makes Las Vegas the third US race on the calendar. This year, the “premier class” of motorsport is stopping off in Austin and, for the first time, in Miami. The course in Las Vegas should lead over the legendary Strip past world-famous casinos. “There is no better place for Formula 1 than the global entertainment capital,” said Stefano Domenicali, the boss of the racing series. Formula 1 in Las Vegas is not entirely new: in 1981 and 1982, the Caesars Palace Grand Prix Circuit was used – more precisely, on the parking lot of the famous hotel.
