The price of gold fell today, Thursday, in Egypt, during trading, and the gram fell 5 pounds, compared to its level in the middle of trading, despite the rise of the metal globally, according to Naguib Naguib, former Secretary General of the Gold Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce.

Gold prices have witnessed major jumps in the local market in the past weeks, affected by the price of the metal globally, which rose due to the declaration of war between Russia and Ukraine, and the increase in the price of the dollar, before gold prices lost many of their gains following that.

The price of the dollar in banks increased by 2.60 pounds during the last two weeks, to record 18.24 pounds for purchase, and 18.34 pounds for sale, according to data from the National Bank.

14 karat gold prices fell to 646 pounds per gram.

And the price of 18 karat gold fell to 831 pounds per gram.

And the price of 21 karat gold fell to 970 pounds per gram.

And the price of 24 carat gold fell to 1108 pounds per gram.
