Franz Wagner (20) really did magic once morest the Wizards!
The Orlando Magic rookie scored 28 points in Washington but mightn’t avoid the 110-127 loss.
Wagner hit eleven of his 20 attempts to throw, sinking all three threes.
His trainer Jamahl Mosley (43) gave praise: “Franz was always able to make the right decision, showed good aggressiveness on the way to the basket. His decision making is getting better and better.”
For Franz’ brother Moritz (24), who also plays for the Orlando Magic, it was a return to his old homeland.
Between 2019 and 2021 he was under contract with the Wizards and played a total of 70 games.
And apparently won a lot of hearts – because before the game, ball boys, hall employees and journalists greeted the German national player.
He didn’t want to hurt his old love on the floor and only scored four points.
The Wizards’ best pitcher was Kristaps Porzingis (26) with 35 points.
Orlando has no chance of making the playoffs, Washington needs a miracle to reach them.
