During the opening of Watches and Wonders Geneva, at Palexpo, the boss of Richemont estimates its impact on Geneva between 150 and 200 million.
Thirty-eight high-end watch brands will take part in the event to be held at Palexpo from March 30 to April 5, during which journalists and retailers will discover the new products of the exhibiting houses.

Announced more than two years ago, the expanded version of Geneva’s main watch fair – a SIHH that has become Watches and Wonders Geneva – opened its doors on Wednesday at Palexpo. For real this time, with the heels of real people treading the same tan carpet.
Spread over five days, the event is on the way to becoming one of the key recurring events for the end of the lake in terms of economic benefits, according to the multinational at the center of the event.

“The impact for Geneva, its companies and the airlines should reach around 150 million Swiss francs”, suggested Wednesday Jérôme Lambert, managing director of the Richemont group, at the origin of a show initially imagined for its only brands, three decades ago.
