The retro 1980s silhouette and puffed sleeves are not unlike those worn by Princess Diana herself, but Alessandra Rich’s signature buttons and belt give it a modern, modern twist.

This isn’t the first time the Duchess of Cambridge has paid homage to Princess Diana’s style – including wearing a navy gown by Alessandra Rich for Prince Charles’ 70th birthday portrait in 2018, and wearing a navy gown by Alessandra Rich in 2013 Introduce the world to the polka-dot maxi dress by Jenny Packham, the birthplace of Prince George, outside St. Mary’s Hospital.
