The president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonès, rejected this Wednesday to modify the technical agreement on distribution of disciplines of the candidacy project of the 2030 Winter Olympics despite the rejection of the President of the Government of Aragon, Javier Lambán: “You have to keep it”.

We do not consider any other option that is not the maintenance of the agreement”, he declared to the media together with the Minister of Equality and Feminism, Tània Verge, following a meeting with Creu Roja to address the humanitarian crisis due to the war in Ukraine.

Aragón does not want to bless the candidacy if the name is not made explicit, they propose Barcelona-Pyrenees-Zaragoza, nor is the place of the candidacy agreed

Aragonès has defended that it is an agreement reached by the technical commission, formed by the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) and the central, catalan and aragonese governmentsin which all parties have yielded, according to him, and has asked “that all administrations row” to make the candidacy possible.
