Compared to February 2021, the month of February 2022 shows a decline in car sales of 6%. It must be said that shortages of semiconductors are still a serious problem. On the first 3 steps of the podium, we find the same models as in January, but not in the same order.
Thus, the Volkswagen Golf (15,122 units) is back in the lead ahead of the Peugeot 208 (14,686) and the Dacia Sandero (14.162). Remarkably, apart from the Golf, the first 8 models are exclusively from the lower segment, and 5 come from Stellantis.
Behind the top three, we find the Citroen C3 (12,873), the Peugeot 2008 (12,543, first SUV in the ranking), the Fiat Panda (11,864), the Renault Clio (11.715), the Opel Corsa (11,634), le Peugeot 3008 (11.189) and the Hyundai Tucson (11.119) to complete the Top 10.
Apart from the Opel Mokka, which rose from 248 to 9,223 sales between February 2021 and February 2022, the most significant increases are for the Tesla Model 3 (+67%), the Mini hatchback (+54%) and Toyota RAV4 (+20.4%), which rank respectively in 20th, 21st and 22nd place. On the electric market, Tesla continues to lead the dance with the Model 3 (9065 units) and the Model Y (6803).
In the first two months of 2022, the Dacia Sandero retains first place ahead of the Peugeot 208 and the VW Golf.
