On her Instagram account, the actress posted this very short message: “It’s a season for healing and I’m here for that.” To avoid being inundated with messages, she disabled the comment option under her post.

Remember that Jada Pinkett Smith was targeted in comedian Chris Rock’s joke that angered Will Smith on Sunday night during the Oscars. While going to present an award, Chris Rock made a joke regarding the hairstyle of Jada Pinkett Smith by comparing her shaved head to that of Demi Moore in the film G.I. Jane.

The 50-year-old actress, who has previously admitted to suffering from alopecia – a condition that causes hair loss – looked up in the air, visibly annoyed by the gag. Will Smith then came to his defense by going on stage to slap Chris Rock in front of more than 15 million stunned viewers.

Will Smith apologized to Chris Rock and the Academy Awards the following day in a message posted on Instagram.

Recall that this was not the first time that Chris Rock made fun of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith during an Oscar ceremony. In 2016, while hosting the gala, the comedian made fun of the fact that the couple had boycotted the ceremony because of the controversy “Oscars so white”.

“Jada boycotting the Oscars is like saying boycott Rihanna’s panties: I wasn’t invited anyway,” joked the comedian.
