DUBAI, 29th March, WAM/ The Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, in cooperation with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), announced the launch of a web page on its website for the mental health of adolescents, in line with the “right to health” which was a slogan that the country celebrated on this Emirati Children’s Day. general.

This came during a press conference held at Expo 2020 Dubai headquarters in Fazaa Pavilion, in the presence of Her Excellency Reem bint Abdullah Al Falasi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, representatives from UNICEF, media and health institutions in the country, members of the UAE Parliament for the Child, and Saeed Al Mutaiwei, the young people’s ambassador to the United Nations Children’s Fund “UNICEF”. And a number of officials of the organization.

Saeed Al-Mutaiwee gave a presentation on the web page, in which he dealt with a set of resources and steps that can be taken to deal with some of the difficulties that children and adolescents face regarding mental health, and reviewed guides, short educational videos, illustrated stories and pictures that address the individual’s senses and guide him to self-stabilization and overcoming tensions and fears so that the child is happy With sound mental health, it makes him more able to control his emotions, emotions and desires, and direct his behavior properly away from abnormal reactions and responses.

Al-Mutaiwee also presented his agenda as an ambassador for adolescents to the United Nations Children’s Fund, which includes his focus on working with partners on the injury prevention campaign, which will provide advice and information to help care for the child and maintain his safety, in addition to many initiatives on child prevention from bullying and awareness In the best interests of the child and the 1,000 Days of First Child Life Program that shapes his or her future as a critical period for how a child’s brain develops.

Mental health is as important as maintaining a healthy body, as no one can enjoy good health unless his body and mind are healthy. This is necessary for us in all stages of our lives, from childhood to adulthood.
