One of the most annoying technical problems of WhatsApp is the inability to share large files. Fortunately, things are regarding to change.
The developers of WhatsApp have started to enable the sending of files up to 2GB in size, far exceeding the 100MB that was in effect before the update. Too bad we will have to wait for this news, because it is being tested exclusively for Argentina.
WhatsApp chose the sister country for this important test due to the number of users in the country. Although it does not exceed Brazil, the number is enough for developers to analyze user behavior.
The new send function is available through the “Document” option when sending a file within a conversation or a group. From there you can share images, videos and all kinds of files. If you go directly to share images, you will not have the option to send large files.
The new file submission limit is available to users of WhatsApp in Argentina from Android and iPhone devices, as well as WhatsApp Web and the desktop version. It is unknown when everyone will have this feature enabled in the standard version.
