The museum attendants at the Baltimore Museum of Art in the USA have now curated their own show. 17 members of the security staff selected the works for the “Guarding the Art” exhibition that opened on Sunday, as the museum in the US east coast metropolis has now announced.
The works were all from the museum’s collection, from different genres, cultures, times and media. The exhibition will be on view until July 10th.
“One of the reasons I wanted to be part of the exhibition is to show people that museum attendants do more than just say, ‘Don’t attack!'” said Kellen Johnson, who has worked at the museum since 2013 , the New York Times. “We are filmmakers, musicians, professors, authors and artists. We know a lot more regarding the artworks than some people might think.”
