A response from the Lebanese Pharmacists Syndicate to the Minister of Health

The media office of the Syndicate of Lebanese Pharmacists, Joe Salloum, issued a statement saying, “The Minister of Health, Firas Al-Abyad, who respects his health and national orientations, and the drug policies adopted by him, surprised us this morning with a series of situations in which we see a great injustice and oppression affecting the largest segment of pharmacies.”

He added, “Throughout the pharmaceutical crisis, including the Corona pandemic, its only concern was to secure medicine for patients away from any other accounts, and it remained by the patient’s side despite being deprived of receiving medicines extensively, and incurring huge losses from its capital, and the sound and threatening of the strike raised it, only a warning of the consequences Not receiving the medicine, and in order to secure it for patients.”

He continued, “The pharmacists’ commitment to all of them, applying the laws,” noting that “the Pharmacists Syndicate is continuing to verify this.”

The media office of the Lebanese Pharmacists Syndicate concluded by saying: “With pride, the pharmacists of Lebanon are an example of morals and the human and patriotic spirit, and they have proven this in all circumstances.”
