Kerala Covid Cases 28 March 2022: Kovid-19 has been confirmed for 346 persons in the state today. Outbreaks were reported in Ernakulam 76, Thiruvananthapuram 54, Kottayam 40, Thrissur 34, Kollam 29, Kozhikode 28, Pathanamthitta 20, Alappuzha 15, Idukki 15, Kannur 10, Palakkad 10, Malappuram 8, Wayanad 6 and Kasaragod 1 districts.
11,939 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
There are currently 14,022 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 13,673 are under home / institutional quarantine and 349 are under hospital surveillance. A total of 54 people were newly admitted to the hospital.
Currently, out of 3682 Kovid cases, only 11.2 per cent are admitted to hospitals / field hospitals.
One death in the last 24 hours was confirmed to be due to Kovid-19. In addition, 3 deaths were reported in the previous days but 21 deaths due to late receipt of documents and 21 deaths due to appeal by the Central Government under the new guidelines of the Supreme Court. This brings the total death toll in the state to 67,822.
Today, 3 of the confirmed cases are from outside the state. 302 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 37 is not clear. Four health workers were affected by the disease.
471 people who were diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 81, Kollam 11, Pathanamthitta 26, Alappuzha 7, Kottayam 44, Idukki 37, Ernakulam 143, Thrissur 31, Palakkad 3, Malappuram 17, Kozhikode 45, Wayanad 22, Kannur 0 and Kasaragod 4 were cured. With this, 3682 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 64,59,057 people have so far been released from Kovid.
