The pilot of the helicopter that crashed in Lara in February dies

During the early hours of this Friday, Army Major José Antonio Salinas, pilot of the helicopter that crashed in Pavia on February 22, died.

The aircraft of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb) crashed in the Santa Eduviges de Pavia sector, west of Barquisimeto, in which four soldiers were crewed who would be carrying out their duties.

When it fell to the ground, it caught fire immediately, leaving two soldiers dead and two others wounded who were transferred to the Dr. Pastor Oropeza Hospital in Barquisimeto, among them was Salinas, but due to the seriousness of his injuries he was sent to the Intensive Care Unit of the Military Hospital.

The two fatal victims of the accident were from Yaracuy state, they were identified as Third Sergeant Major Dervis Eligio Sánchez Medina (36) and Second Sergeant Ángela José García Perdomo (26).

Captain Willver Oswaldo Sumoza Doubront, who is the second person injured in the accident, was told that he is still undergoing medical treatment and care.
