New Game Plus, Photo Mode and more confirmed

It is known that “Dying Light 2” will be supported with updates and new content over a long period of time. As the developers from Techland promised, the community can look forward to features such as a photo mode or a “New Game Plus” mode in the coming weeks and months.

Last month, the developers at Techland released their new project “Dying Light 2” for the consoles and the PC and, in line with the release, promised once once more that the horror action title should be supported in the long term.

In an interview conducted by GameInformer, Tymon Smektała, the lead game designer responsible for Dying Light 2, addressed Techland’s long-term plans and pointed out that not only corresponding updates and downloadable content are planned. In addition, the developers at Techland are currently working on various features that have been repeatedly requested by the community and will find their way into the game in the coming weeks and months.

We are promised a photo mode, additional levels of difficulty or options as well as a “New Game Plus” mode, which offers you the opportunity to tackle the campaign once more following it is completed and to include selected content in the next run to take over.

Specific dates have not yet been announced

Unfortunately, the said features were not given concrete dates. Instead, Smektała simply stated: “These are definitely things that are currently on the table and being worked on. I don’t want to go into too much detail here… but very soon people will see these things being added to the game in one form or another.”

More Dying Light 2 news:

Unfortunately, those responsible at Techland have not yet been able to elicit a specific release date and further details on the first story extension.

Dying Light 2 is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
