Dell has just announced its new high-end laptops: the Dell XPS 15 and the Dell XPS 17. These 2022 versions of the American manufacturer’s flagship range then come to offer great options for professionals. Latest generation processors
The main novelty of this 2022 flood of Dell XPS certainly lies in the choice of processor. In fact, there are 12th generation Intel Core processors. Dell gives the choice in particular the choice between a Core i5-12500H, a Core i7-12700H and a Core i9-12900HK. In addition, these configurations remain available for both the 15 and the 17.
The brand also gives the choice between several configurations for the graphics card. First, you can be satisfied with an integrated Intel UHD Graphics or Iris Xe Graphics graphics card. The most demanding users can also opt for a dedicated graphics card. For this, the Dell XPS 15 gives the choice between a GeForce RTX 3050 or an RTX 3050 Ti. As for the Dell XPS 17, you can choose an RTX 3050 or an RTX 3060.
On the memory side, Dell allows 8 to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM to be installed on each device. Added to this is storage ranging from 256 GB to 4 TB SSD with the possibility of combining two different disks. In total, we can then have a maximum storage of 8 TB.
Practical and comfortable
In addition to their power, the new laptops from Dell also offer excellent comfort of use. First, there’s the 16:10 screen available in Full HD or 4K. You can also opt for a 3.5K OLED panel but only on the 15-inch model. In addition, a touch screen is also optional.
Both laptops are also very light despite their specificities. We can discover an XPS 15 at only 1.81 kg and the XPS 17 from 2.21 kg. In terms of autonomy, we can have a 56 or 86 Wh battery for the XPS 15 and up to 97 Wh on the XPS 17. All of this will then make them excellent allies on the move.
Regarding connectivity, the XPS 15 has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-C, an SD card reader, an HDMI and a mini-jack. The XPS 17, on the other hand, has four Thunderbolt 4 ports instead of two. Finally, the wireless connectivity consists of Wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.
Dell XPS 15 and 17 price and availability
The Dell XPS 15 laptop will be sold from 1699 € while the Dell XPS will be priced starting at €2599. Both laptops will land on the market from March 29, 2022. However, you will have to wait until April to be able to get the XPS 17 with RTX 3060.
