Mexico asks to stop hostilities and protect civilians in Ukraine

In the framework of Doha Forum 2022Foreign Minister Ebrard reiterated the Mexican position of an end to hostilities and the protection of civilians in the country invaded by Russiawhich was recently presented and approved, together with France, at the General Assembly of the United Nations Organization (HIM-HER-IT).

Mexico is looking for business opportunities in the Middle East

During his visit to Qatar, Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard met with Mexican businessmen who accompanied him, with whom he discussed business opportunities in Mexico with the Qatar Investment and Promotion Agency.

Ebrard will participate on Sunday March 27 in the panel on Climate changealong with personalities such as Bill Gatesas part of a larger discussion within the forum around the theme “Transformation for a new era”.

On the other hand, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs spoke with Joseph Barrel, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, on the urgency of accelerating the signing of the Global Agreement between Mexico and the European Union.

The foreign minister shared the cooperation projects that Mexico is implementing in Central Americawith the aim of promoting the development of the region.

In another meeting, with the Minister of Turkish Foreign AffairsMevlüt Çavuşoğlu, both foreign ministers agreed on the importance of strengthening cooperation through regional forums such as MIKTA, which includes Mexico, Indonesiathe Republic of Korea, Turkey and Australia.
