A report from yesterday indicated that Apple is launching a new 15 inch MacBook Air for 2023 is planning what appears to be consistent with previous reports of such a device. The well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo however, believes that while the notebook will share some similarities with the Air, it will not be called the Air.
He believes the company will start producing the laptop in the fourth quarter of 2023. The same 30 watt charger as the Air should be used. That might mean that the device actually becomes part of the more budget-friendly MacBook series.
In view of the rather weak power supply, it shouldn’t be a MacBook Pro model. On the other hand previous reports hint at a revised design that’s more in line with the Pro series.
